Welcome to London Revision, we specialise in producing high quality resources for teachers. All of our publications are sold copyright free for educational purposes only within the purchasing academic institution.
London Revision was set up in 1998 to publish materials produced by experienced examiners. Since then it has expanded to produce GCSE Revision Notes for all GCSE History specifications. We have now produced AS and A2 Revision Notes for many AQA, Edexcel and OCR Units and Options. We have also developed a range of materials for Citizenship.

LONDON REVISION: GCSE 2009-2011
LONDON REVISION materials are all written by senior examiners and can be duplicated, amended and photocopied copyright free in purchasing institutions. For the new specifications, we will be publishing:
E-Books: the following can all be put onto a network or students’ laptops, consequently ALL students can be supplied with their own copies of textbooks at no extra cost.
If you are finding the cost of resourcing the new specifications too high, our E-Books are the answer. For less than £200, all students can be supplied with resources covering the whole specification, with no waste. You simply buy the sections that you require and make them available to students via an intranet.
Sets of textbooks can be used in class, but E-Books are available to all students at any time. If students do not have access to the network at home, E-Books can be photo-copied and duplicated within the purchasing institution.
What could be simpler, OR cheaper!
E-Books: Student Study Guides contain detailed content and exercises for students to complete; they can be used in class or to set homework.
Each Study Guide follows the exact demands of the specification. They contain detailed text covering key content, exercises, sources, visuals and hyperlinks to further materials such as on-line exercises, photographs, powerpoint presentations and film.
Study Guides can be put onto a network for students to use on their own or can be used as a class text-book. They are ideal for students studying independently and preparing for re-sitting modules.
Student Workbooks cover basic content; they are suitable for students working towards a Grade C
E-Books will cover all areas of the specification; we will be publishing chapters for all of the units in each of the modules. Unlike other publishers, we sell each chapter or unit separately; you just buy the chapters that you need for your options. AND, you need only buy one copy and duplicate it as many times as you like within your school.
Coursework guides will be published for all of the assignments set each year.
Revision Notes are in bullet point form around key questions and follow the exact demands of the specification. Notes will cover the complete specification.
Revision Packs contain exercises covering the demands of questions and the whole content; they are intended to be used on a network to encourage revision.
Specimen answers will exemplify the best practice from each year’s examinations; for the Specimen Papers, we will publish answers for each level in the markscheme so that students can find out how to improve their answers
Revision Tests are objective tests covering content; each has twenty questions along with answers. They will cover the entire specification.
Please go to the page for each Awarding Body to see the full range of publications available at present. Materials will be listed on the website as they are produced and a full range will be available from Easter. 2009.
Special Offer for OCR Schools: If you are having trouble resourcing your controlled assessment, we will produce an E-Book to meet your requirements for a one-off payment of £175.

London Revision also runs Revision Courses for students in schools for GCSE, AS and A level.
LONDON REVISION COURSES provide half day or full day intensive revision for GCSE or A Level students.
They are run by experienced examiners and can also be combined with Inset for departments.
In 2007-8, London Revision ran more than ninety courses in schools throughout the country and abroad.
Most schools experience major improvements in exam results from the course and follow up. One comprehensive school in Newbury achieved 100% A*-C in 2008.

A Level Objective Tests: We shall be publishing over the coming months tests offering comprehensive coverage of the following topics:
England, 1455-1689
Britain, 1815-1928
Italy, 1815-1945
Russia and the USSR, 1855-1964
Germany, 1871-1963
The USA, 1865-2001
China 1911-1990s
Each test contains 15-20 objective questions covering key issues and interpretations.
Each question follows the pattern below:
4: In the early 1920s, Trotsky became increasingly unpopular in the Communist Party because:
1: He advocated a radical solution to economic problems, opposed NEP and believed that the peasants should be treated more vigorously and forced to produce more.
2: He formed the Comintern with Lenin
3: He was personally unpopular; he was highly intellectual and had a reputation for arrogance. He did not make alliances with his colleagues.
4: He also had ideas that appeared dangerous; he believed that the USSR should try to foment revolution in other states because Russia could only be successful if supported by proletarian revolutions in the West.
5: He rarely appeared in public and made few speeches.
A: 1, 2 and 3 B: 1, 3 and 4 C: 2, 3 and 4 D: 2, 4 and 5 E: 3, 4 and 5
Tests are ideal for last minute revision or checks on basic knowledge.
Single tests cost £15, but order 5 tests for £45 or 10 tests £65.
Schools and colleges that have already purchased tests can take advantage of this offer by quoting the London Revision invoice number.
